
Montpellier (pronounced momm-pell-yay) is the capital of the Languedoc-Roussillon Region and one of Europe's most liveable cities. Located 150km west of Marseille, it has a population of 250,000 and growing fast. Montpellier was founded in 12th century and is a respected university city with around 20 percent of its population being students.
