Boutique & Independent Hotels

There are many small charming hotels throughout France. Many of them are in restored village mansions, working wineries (often referred to as domaines) and renovated country chateaux.

Some boutique hotels are members of Logis de France. Logis markets thousands of small charming hotels throughout France (generally in the countryside).

Use Logis de France website's interactive map to choose hotels by region. Prices are reasonable and most have nice restaurants and car parking.

Logis de France covers a large proportion of the auberge (country inn) market, but they can also be found and booked through other sites.

Typical Boutique hotel features:

  • Quality restaurants
  • Picturesque or interesting locations
  • High level of service as staff/guest ratio
  • Moderate to high priced depending on season
  • Often attached to a spa or golf course
  • Intended for couples
